Local cuisine and dining
Besides our own lovely bistro Plymouth Rock, the nearest restaurant is the New Shanghai “Beim Ping” adjacent to the Wilwerwitz church. They serve lunch and dinner every day, except Tuesdays. Another great location for gourmet enthusiasts is the village of Clervaux with her abundance of coffee shops, terraced cafe’s, an excellent bakery and specialty chocolate shop. Clervaux also hosts several hotels and restaurants. Rhino’s in the main street is open for lunch, dinner and drinks. At Bistro 1865 you will find a variety of typical Luxembourg dishes, and you can combine a days outing with a family dinner at Robbescheier museum in Munshausen. The Robbescheier museum has a small farm, vegetable garden and playground in addition to her restaurant.
Located a little further out from Val d’Or is the wealth of taste & flavor that is Luxembourg City. Combine your dining with a sightseeing or shopping tour through the city, and if you count yourself among the true connoisseurs of local cuisine, we highly recommend a visit to Yves Radelet. This restaurant is rated among the top tier of Northern Luxembourg restaurants. Prior reservation is a must, and well worth the effort!
