Shopping malls

Shopping malls

There are several indoor shopping centers in Luxembourg, ideal for a rainy day. These malls offer a wide range of fashion, accessories, restaurants and recreational facilities. Unlike many other stores, these centers are often open on Sundays as well. Some shopping centers in Luxembourg are:

  • Knauf Shopping Center in Pommerloch
  • Knauf Shopping Center in Schmiede/Huldange
  • Shopping Centre Massen in Wemperhardt
  • Topaze Shopping Center in Mersch
  • Designer Outlet Luxembourg in Messancy

The nearest shopping center is Nordstrooss Shopping Mile in Marnach. This is a small shopping center that includes an Aldi, Cactus, Action and Zeeman.

Markets

Markets

There are several nice markets to visit in Luxembourg. A weekly market takes place on Tuesday mornings in Diekirch and on Friday mornings in Ettelbruck. There are also several annual events held throughout the year. For an overview of these events and more information, please consult Visit Luxembourg's events calendar. In the cities you can also find cozy boutiques with local products.

Luxembourg city

Luxembourg city

Luxembourg City offers a great shopping experience with a mix of chic boutiques, designer stores, drugstores, jewelers and everyday fashion stores. The city also has plenty of places to eat and drink, from cozy cafes to Michelin-starred restaurants. In the center of the old town you will find atmospheric shopping streets, while outside the city center are several indoor shopping centers. In bad weather you can visit the Kaufhof department store in the city center, or you can visit the Cloche d'Or Shopping Center near the train station, or the indoor shopping centers just outside the city La Belle Etoile and City Concorde.

Free public transport

Free public transport

Since 2020, public transport in Luxembourg has been free for residents and tourists alike. This applies to city transport, intercity trains and regional buses and makes traveling around the country easy and free (2nd class on trains). The bus to the shopping center in Marnach stops right in front of the campsite. 1.5 km away, in the village of Wilwerwiltz, is the train station with connections to Clervaux, Diekirch, Mersch and Luxembourg City, among others.
