Free 4G Wifi
Out and about but still wanting to check your social media? No problem, we feature free 4G wifi around the area! With a strong network, we can reach even the farthest places of the camp site, although be advised that a high amount of users can slow down data traffic.
Private collective parking lot
Camp site Val d’Or features a car-free policy and hence, most pitches and accommodations are car-free. We offer ample parking space at our private collective parking lot and you are free to park your car along the main street, besides the railroad along the West side of the camp site.
Camp fire area
There is a dedicated camp fire area near the sporting field of Val d’Or. We regularly organize bon fires here and you can confer with our front desk to organize your own camp fire in this area.
Barbeque-garden
At the heart of the valley we have installed a covered terrace with a central fire bowl and four surrounding picnic tables. You can barbeque and grill to your heart’s delight, and the broad, 3+ feet fire bowl is dedicated to wood fires only (no charcoal bricks or other means). You can borrow barbeque and grill racks at the front desk in exchange for a small deposit. Return your rack to us scrubbed shiny clean and your deposit comes back your way. With our permission you may also use the fire bowl for camp fires only. We cannot assume responsibility nor liability for any use of the barbeque racks and fire bowl; please yours and others safety into consideration.
Waste repository
In keeping with our ECO-label, we maintain a recycling and waste repository. We kindly ask you to reduce your waste production wherever possible or use natural packaging material instead. Use cloth instead of plastic to fill your picnic basket, for example! Other efforts you can make is separating your waste according to the color labels below. Thank you for your understanding and efforts.
- Blue = paper and cardboard
- Yellow = plastic bottles and vial, metal containers and beverage cartons.
- Grey = residual waste and organic waste
- A glass repository is available across from the main entrance on the left hand side.
Waste repository chemical toilet
We feature a central waste repository point for all chemical toilets. We kindly ask you to use our sanitary facilities instead of a chemical substitute in our joint effort to reduce harmful practices.
Camper van locations with solid bedding
Val d’Or offers four solid bedding camper van locations. These are conveniently located near the entrance of the camp site, near all facilities and sanitary facilities. The camper van locations have an open concrete tile bedding that allows the grass to grow through, giving your location a natural feel while providing a stable basis for your camper van. Our camp site also features a care & cleaning station, with a water tap and waste repository specific to camper van needs. Each camper van location has its own picnic table and 6 ampere of electric power via a EURO-plug.
