Summer holidays at the Christian campsite in Luxembourg
At Camping Val d’Or, faith, nature and hospitality come together during the summer holidays, allowing you to enjoy both peace and spiritual enrichment. Set in the beautiful surroundings of Luxembourg, we host special gatherings every Sunday during the summer holidays, centred on singing, fellowship and reflection. These inspiring moments take place in a relaxed atmosphere amidst nature and are open to everyone, regardless of background or religious tradition.
There is also plenty to discover: go on lovely walks and cycle rides through the countryside, enjoy peaceful moments by the River Clerve, or gather round the fire pit. For children, there is a varied leisure programme with games and activities, so the whole family can enjoy themselves. Summer Holiday Gatherings
During the summer holidays, we organise seven Sunday gatherings over a six-week period at our Christian campsite. Guests come together in a relaxed atmosphere to sing and share their faith, led by experienced pastors. For many, these short services are a valuable addition to their holiday. Everyone is welcome, regardless of background or faith, and afterwards you can continue to enjoy your stay in peace and quiet.
Leisure activities at the campsite
During the summer holidays, Camping Val d’Or offers plenty of leisure activities and entertainment for young and old alike. Between mid-July and the end of August, the cheerful entertainment team organises sporting and creative activities five days a week, with a constantly changing programme to ensure children stay entertained. These include sports tournaments, games, arts and crafts, and fun family activities such as campfire evenings or game shows. Even on days when the weather isn’t at its best, there’s always something fun to do, so the whole family can make the most of the summer programme.

Fancy a day out?
During your stay at Val d’Or, a whole world of charming villages and towns is within easy reach. Visit picturesque Clervaux with its impressive castle and the famous photography exhibition at the Museum of The Family of Man. In medieval Vianden, you can wander through narrow streets, explore the imposing castle and enjoy the views over the Our Valley. Diekirch is also well worth a visit, with its charming old town, museum and riverside walks. A little further afield lie Wiltz and historic Echternach, where you can enjoy culture, shops and beautiful architecture. For a day out, Luxembourg City is a must, with its fortifications, museums and lively squares. This diverse region offers culture, history and nature for all ages.
Hiking at Camping Val d’Or
Step straight out of the campsite into the countryside and discover the many walking routes around Enscherange. Whether you opt for a short walk or a longer hike, the routes always offer surprising views and varied terrain. For those who want to take it easy, many routes can easily be shortened, or you can hop on a train halfway through your walk at Wilwerwiltz station, just a few minutes’ walk away. This way, you can turn every walk into a relaxing and special experience.
Cycling and mountain biking at Camping Val d’Or
The area around the campsite is ideal for both leisurely cycle rides and challenging mountain bike trails. In the neighbouring village, you can hire standard bikes, e-bikes, mountain bikes and child seats. Please bear in mind that not all country roads have cycle paths and that the routes can be hilly. Make sure you have a good bike, always wear a helmet and note that helmets are compulsory for children under 12, so that you can enjoy the countryside safely and carefree.
