Experience a special May holiday at Camping Val d’Or in Enscherange, set amidst the beautiful Luxembourg countryside, where Christian faith and relaxation go hand in hand. During this time, there is plenty of opportunity for socialising, reflection and communal gatherings in an open and welcoming atmosphere. Spring brings new life to nature and invites you to go for walks through the hilly countryside or enjoy peaceful moments by the banks of the Clerve. In the surrounding area, you’ll also find charming little churches that invite you to take a moment of silence and prayer. For the children, there’s a varied programme full of play and creativity, ensuring they too have a meaningful experience. In this way, the May holiday becomes a time of peace, deepening faith and togetherness.
The May holiday is a special time in spring. Nature comes to life and invites you to get out and about together. Take a walk through the green hills, enjoy the silence, or get together for a good chat by the firepit.
Faith is also a focus during this period. Although the May holiday is on a smaller scale than the summer weeks, the Christian identity remains evident in the atmosphere at the campsite. Sundays take on a peaceful character and offer space for reflection.
Charming villages and towns are within easy reach of the campsite. Visit historic Clervaux with its abbey and the famous Museum of The Family of Man, or discover medieval Vianden with its impressive castle and picturesque streets. Diekirch and Wiltz offer culture, museums and cosy terraces, whilst Echternach, with its old town and squares, invites you to take a leisurely stroll. Luxembourg City is ideal for a day trip, with its fortifications, museums and atmospheric squares. This way, you can combine nature, culture and exploration during your holiday.

You can set off straight from the campsite on wonderful walks through the Luxembourg hills. Choose a short route to freshen up, or head out for a day on a longer walk. The routes offer ever-changing views, surprising changes in elevation and varied scenery. If you wish, the walks are flexible: you can shorten them or hop on the train at Wilwerwiltz station halfway along the route – just 1.7 kilometres from the campsite – making it easy to combine your walk with a train or public transport journey.
The area around the campsite is perfect for an active cycling holiday. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely ride or a challenging mountain bike route, there’s something for everyone. In a nearby village, you can hire bikes, e-bikes, mountain bikes and child seats. Please note that not all country roads have cycle paths and that some routes are hilly. With a good bike, a helmet and by following the safety rules – such as the compulsory helmet rule for children under 12 – you can enjoy the varied landscape without a care in the world.
